About RankSewa

RankSewa is a platform that helps patients in Nepal discover healthcare providers based on community reviews and experiences. Our platform:

• Provides information about doctors and healthcare providers
• Allows users to share their experiences through reviews and ratings
• Helps patients make informed healthcare decisions

Important: Reviews and ratings represent individual patient experiences and opinions only. They are not medical assessments of healthcare providers' qualifications, abilities, or the quality of care provided.

User Accounts

Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 16 years old to use this Platform
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts

Account Security

• Keep your password confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

User Content and Reviews

Review Guidelines

When posting reviews, you agree to:

• Share only your genuine personal experience
• Be honest, fair, and respectful
• Not post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Not include personal medical information
• Not use offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language
• Not promote or advertise products or services
• Not violate any laws or third-party rights

Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of content you post
• By posting, you grant RankSewa a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content
• We may edit or remove content that violates these terms

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Post fake reviews or manipulate ratings
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Harass, threaten, or defame any person
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the Platform
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Collect user data without consent
• Use the Platform for illegal purposes

Medical Disclaimer

In case of medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

Intellectual Property

All content on RankSewa, including:

• Text, graphics, logos, and images
• Software and code
• Design and layout
• Trademarks and branding

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANKSEWA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Damages arising from your use of the Platform
• Actions or omissions of healthcare providers listed on the Platform
• Decisions made based on information found on the Platform

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RankSewa, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you post on the Platform

Content Moderation & Flagging

We reserve the right to:

• Review, edit, or remove any user content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement
• Take legal action against violators

Review Flagging System

Users may flag reviews for inappropriate content such as:

• Offensive or abusive language
• Discriminatory or hateful content
• Provably false information
• Privacy violations (sharing personal medical details)
• Spam or promotional content

Important: The flagging system is ONLY for reporting violations of our content guidelines. Flagging should NOT be used to remove legitimate negative reviews or critical feedback. We are committed to transparency, and honest negative experiences will remain visible even if they reflect poorly on a healthcare provider.

Flagged content is reviewed by our team within 24-48 hours. We will take appropriate action based on our assessment.

Doctor Verification & Profiles

Profile Claims

Healthcare providers may claim existing profiles or register new profiles by:

• Providing accurate professional information
• Submitting verification documents (medical degree, government ID, practice license)
• Providing Nepal Medical Council (NMC) registration number
• Agreeing to our verification process

Verification Process

All doctor verification requests are manually reviewed by our team. Verification does not imply endorsement of the healthcare provider's qualifications or quality of care.

Doctor Responsibilities

Verified doctors agree to:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date profile information
• Respond professionally to patient reviews
• NOT edit, delete, or manipulate patient reviews
• NOT create fake accounts or reviews
• Comply with all applicable medical ethics and regulations

Photo Uploads & Content

When uploading photos (profile pictures, verification documents):

• You must own the rights to the images or have permission to use them
• Photos must be appropriate and professional
• Maximum file size: 5-10MB depending on upload type
• Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, PDF (for documents)
• We may optimize images for performance (resize, compress)
• Inappropriate images will be removed without notice

Account Deletion & Data Removal

Requesting Account Deletion

Users may request account deletion by contacting [email protected]. Deletion requests are processed manually within 2-3 business days.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

• Your account will be deactivated - you won't be able to log in
• Personal data will be deleted - email, phone, uploaded documents
• Your name will be anonymized in any remaining content
• Reviews you wrote may remain visible for transparency, but will be anonymized
• For doctors: Your profile will be removed from search results, but patient reviews may remain visible (anonymized) for public health transparency

Data Retention

We retain certain data for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution even after account deletion:

• Transaction records (if applicable)
• Anonymized usage statistics
• Content moderation records
• Legal hold data (if subject to investigation or litigation)

Third-Party Links

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for:

• The content or practices of third-party sites
• Privacy policies of external websites
• Damages arising from your use of third-party services

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform:

• Immediately, without notice, for violations of these Terms
• For prolonged inactivity
• At our sole discretion for any reason

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Sending email notification (for material changes)

Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
